A gift for a mum...and her daughter
Mother/Daughter necklaces.
The store Laura Ashley is my mum's favourite store, however, it is in the city I live, but not where she lives. I was looking for her a present for her birthday the other week and noticed that a Laura Ashley had a new shop had opened in the outlet mall. One of my mum's favourite colours in purple, and she likes different kinds of oval beads, so I got her the necklace on the left, and then saw the yellow necklace on the right, and decided to get that for myself for a 21st party coming up.
Both of the necklaces were reduced to $7 and I think the one I bought for my mum was reduced from $40, so there was a very large discount, and considering my mum is not a big fan of receiving presents, I thought it was cool to just have a little something, and use the shop bag shown above as a wee bag to pack it in.

A Young But Sophisticated Present
These two cushions were $15 each from a shop called Red Current and I found the card around my house. I was originally going to get her only 1 but then I thought it would be better to have two matching ones, as it is unlikely she will find the exact pattern to match on other items, and also, she will be able to put these on couches, and her bed, or wherever she wants when she moves out of home and has to suddenly spend most of her money on things like cutlery and clothes pegs.

Present odds n ends
From left: Maybelline Baby Lips in Smoothing Cherry, The Body Shop 50ml strawberry body butter, Country Road Love Heart Sock, Licorice soap from a local gift shop, and The Body Shop 250ml blueberry shower gel (special edition).
These are some of my favourites in which I haven't given away, and may keep majority for myself.....

Attempt at a Laid-back Gift..
This is a present for one of my first friends that I made while living away from home. She said that if any of us were going to get her a present, she wanted to have a collection of jelly shoes, because she thinks they're running out. When she came down to visit me and some of our other friends, she pointed out that she liked these blue heels, however they didn't have her size. Luckily, I found her size in Auckland for only $10! I also got her some matching socks from one of my favourite gift shops, and because she is always busy, a 'safe keeper' in which is 'perfect for coins, jewellery, earphones or any loose items in your handbag.'

Girly Gift for $10!!
One of my friends came to visit me these holidays, and since we hadn't really seen each other over Christmas, we both gave each other small presents. She has similar interests to me than some of my friends, so I got her the ultimate girly gift with some of my favourites, costing $10 with:
Sex and the City Essentials Fashion DVD (3 episodes) $2.50, Peter Alexander Sleep mask $4, and Licorice soap $3.50. The gift she gave me will be in the next post!!

Twin Pyjama Pattern Christmas Gift
Sorry! They live in a much warmer area of the country, so summery pjs is appropriate, and to add a hint of pajama set pattern clashing, I picked up two eye masks also.
Even though twins hate matching presents, it's so much fun to still do it, even when they're 18! One is more of a tomboy (cherry pattern) and one is more feminine (Balloons).

Christmas Gift for Little Brother
5 panel hat from Amazon, and iPhone 4 case from Kmart. (Hardly any iphone4 cases around except $2 ones at Kmart!?) Navy incorporated into the hat because he always wears navy jerseys.

Early Summer Christmas present
I am going to Auckland soon and while i'm there I will briefly meet up with two of my friends who are sisters, and live in a summery area of the North Island, who I haven't seen in almost two years. Since I won't see them again for awhile, I am hand delivering their early christmas presents!
The pink dog bloomers are for the girly sister, and the doughnut brief shorts are for the more laid-back sister.
Both pajama shorts from Peter Alexander, with doughnut bag in addition with the doughnut briefs.

Present for an old Family Friend
Slightly christmas themed make up present for not seeing someone in 5 years, who used to love green and the body shop. Unsure if she still does.
Bag and socks from Country Road and loofah and shower gel set from The Body Shop.

For The Overseas Bestie
In retrospect this present is actually not very good for sending in a package across the world, but I wanted to give my friend in Thailand things from my favourite shops in NZ, and summery gifts that I also have bought for myself.
(The inside of the card reads 'You!!!')
(Jelly Shoes from Cotton On, Hello Kitty bloomers from Peter Alexander, iPhone case Forever New, and card from Typo).
